“I believe, help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:24b

For years I have felt these words ache from the marrow of my bones, “I believe, help my unbelief!” Life, in all its beauty, is often painful and confusing. Grief and trauma take up residence in our bodies, painting our experiences and understanding with new colors that distort the places where we once knew beauty and wholeness. And generations of inherited grief and trauma have passed down to us a distorted lens and relationship with the Divine.

It’s time to wake up; time to unwind narratives that have kept people marginalized and cast aside for far too long. We are being pressed to unravel these stories from our bodies that have been carried in our bones and passed through generations – stories that tell us that connection is unattainable, that we are unworthy, unlovable, unredeemable.

It’s time to rewrite our story and heal the spiritual wounds that we’ve been handed. It’s imperative that we ask the hard and scary questions that are easier to avoid. We are beckoned to sit with the grief and loss that exists in a belief system that has left us shackled instead of free; that demands conformity and uniformity instead of transformation and diversity.

This is a sacred and holy journey.

The work is SLOW and deeply intentional.

I am here to serve as a spiritual director, and guide to those who are ready to sit with the Divine in the hard spaces. To companion those who are unafraid to ask the deep, hard, and taboo questions. My calling is to serve those who find themselves on the margins – wondering if they will ever find belonging.

I don’t have all the answers.

What I do have is spaciousness for you to ask and explore. I have curiosity to dive into the deep with you. And I have an academic foundation in Biblical Studies and Grief and Embodiment Studies, along with twenty years of lived ministry experience to bring into our time together. I live in the depths and have often found myself exploring alone, looking for companions along the way. I believe there are many of us here, just waiting to find one another.

If you are ready to reclaim your faith, I am here to walk with you. There is space for YOU here. You are deeply loved, and you belong. Bring your doubts, your hope, and your hopelessness. They are a vital part of this journey. This path is sure to carry grief, sorrow, and disappointment. But it will also open you to beauty, wonder, depth, joy and an abundance of connection.

It would be my deepest honor to join you in the journey.
